Keep Going

May26

Feeling down today, even though its only our second time. You feel really dissapointed that it didn’t work, we didn’t even get passed the second stage this time. I think the nurses are re-thinking my fertility drugs. Probably stick with the Gonal-F injections and stop taking the Clomid. My body must be funtioning fairly well on its own so the drugs made me over respond this time. At least the fertility drugs will be less expensive next time, i suppose thats a good thing.

Early Disappointment

May24

We went through to Glasgow today, after Annie had the jabs (gonal f) and took the tablets (clomid) this week. Unfortunately during the scan the nurse could tell too many of Annies follicles had grown too big and so we can’t continue with this months cycle. So disappointed. Feel gutted but trying to stay positive, all we can do is wait till next month.

Giving Jabs

May20

I’ve been giving Annie her fertility injections. It’s a little wierd at first, checking the dosage is right and being confident, making sure I don’t move the needle about too much. It got easier though, we had three to do in the week and now it’s back through to Glasgow for the next stage.

Another Go

May14

Back to the hospital again, had another ultrasound to check everything fine, so now can go ahead and take fertility drugs (Clomid and gonal F injections) to encourage follicle growth. Injections are not too sore, so still excited about trying again.

Negative Pregnancy Test :-(

May5

Negative pregnancy test :-( We’re both a bit disappointed, but it was only the first attempt. Try again next month. Nurses keep telling me how young and healthy I am, so fingers crossed it works next time.
