Went through for the insemination yesterday. We had to get dressed up in gowns and clogs! Hair net too, I looked like a surgeon! I went into the theatre with Annie and sat next to the bed. It’s hard to watch as you can see it is uncomfortable for her. All I could do was hold her hand and try not too make her laugh too much (in case she needed the toilet). Hopefully soon we’ll be in a similar situation having our baby!! We left with a sample bottle and instructions for Annie to fill it in 2 weeks time and bring it back in to see if we have been successful. – It sounds like we are waiting to hear about a job interview!!

We went through to Glasgow today, after Annie had the jabs (gonal f) and took the tablets (clomid) this week. Unfortunately during the scan the nurse could tell too many of Annies follicles had grown too big and so we can’t continue with this months cycle. So disappointed. Feel gutted but trying to stay positive, all we can do is wait till next month.

I’ve been giving Annie her fertility injections. It’s a little wierd at first, checking the dosage is right and being confident, making sure I don’t move the needle about too much. It got easier though, we had three to do in the week and now it’s back through to Glasgow for the next stage.

Hello. This is a blog about our experience of fertility treatment, written as it happens, in the hope that it will help others going through the same process. If you want to know more about how we started on this journey please visit the About Us page. James & Annie
